Name: Ruby Hawthorn
Age: 17
Personality:
Ruby has two main personalities, and will be one or the other, there is no in between.
One is a calm, reasonable, sweet person, one who is happy to have people around her.
The other which is more prominent, meaning she is usually her darker self, has a twisted sense of humor, and kinda just crazy bitch from hell
More of a reference to the darker personality is if you've ever seen Soul Eater she's sorta like Maka with the black blood, but if not these are some good videos of the clip, they both are music videos and the first has a lot of cursing but here

Ruby acts more like Maka acts in the beginning the parts that are most like her dark self are 0:13 to 0:31 and 0:44 to 1:19

When she is her "darker self" she's sometimes very cocky, and easily engages in fights. She enjoys the power from hurting someone, she rarely has mercy on any of her victims, but is smart enough to not provoke the fight, unless the person tries to hurt her first (which he or she will be very unlucky and 10-10.5 times won’t hit her) she won’t fight them, but once engaged in a fight only when the person is knocked out or on rare occurrence dead.
Bio: Ruby Hawthorn was raised by an older couple after her parents died when she was 7, when her "dark side" was created, bounced around from family to family for a few years she moved in with Henry and Josie. Ruby at the time was 12, and had already shown both sides of her personality, Josie and Henry never cared, and around that time it had become clear that Ruby could conjure and control fire magic, Josie helped teach her to control the flames, and Henry taught her to defend herself. Over the course of the next few years Ruby stayed with Josie and Henry but 4 years later (Ruby is 16) Josie passes away and Henry soon follows. Left alone again Ruby runs rather than bounce through families again. A few months afterwards she's brought into a "gang" of sorts, where she quickly gains her nickname The Mad Hatter, not only because of her shifting personalities but because of her fighting style.
She finds 3 friends (whose names will be determined later) in gang life, but still keeps them at a distance (the one thing I do know about the 3 friend is 1 of them is a girl, and [obviously] the other 2 are boys, one of which will be the "love interest").
This is all I have come up with but I've been working on the story, which will be my first Literature post on DA, I am not going to have a set update day, b/c I know that it will be impossible for me to keep it
